Sometimes the best things in life are the things you never planned for. Many years ago, I invited myself to a friend’s group fitness class, and it sparked a love of movement in a group setting that I hadn’t experienced after years of working out on my own. There was fun, laughter, community—and something about moving alongside other people that made me want to keep coming back.
Fast forward, and a friendship born within those walls turned into an invitation to train to become a teacher in the very same place where I had taken my first class. It was scary and exhilarating all at once. Over 10 years later, that step in faith has brought me through a few studios, a few different fitness formats, and a whole lot of personal growth.
Through it all, I’ve held onto a love of movement and a love for helping and encouraging people—to stay the course, challenge themselves when it gets hard, and keep showing up for themselves week after week.
And now, I find myself back behind the mic as a very different human who is still figuring out what it looks like to lead a healthy life, where movement is a discipline and not an obligation (on most days).
Longevity and health are at the core of why I move, along with a constant thirst for learning how to use fitness as a tool to achieve specific results—not just aimless movement for the sake of moving.
So here I am, excited to serve The Alley community and partner with Ashley (iykyk—the GOAT of barre) to bring you a barre experience that is fun, challenging, sweaty, and intense—and hopefully one that makes you remember us the next day because, well… you’re sore in a good way.
Teaching has become such a gift to me. It lights me up—the music bumping, hearts pounding, sweat dripping, big smiles after class, and the texts the next day. There’s something really special about sharing that experience with people.
I hope that somewhere along the way, if our paths cross and we’re a good fit, we get to become a small part of each other’s story. So, let’s see where this takes us.
